# Adding Items
You can create a new record for any register you have access to using the down arrow at the top right of the screen.
There are two other ways to create new items:
* Within a Register - the button on the right hand side will activate a context button for new items when you’re in a specific register.
* From the Map - When you’re in map mode you can use the New button at the top right hand corner
