# Service

## Overview <a href="#information" id="information"></a>

Services are Resources are simply services that can be provided by service organisations.&#x20;

You can [find](#finding-services), [add](#adding-service-providers) and [edit](#settings) Service Providers via the Resources register.

## Finding Services

Ways to find Offers:

1. Type column in the datagrid (Service)
2. Types > Service in the filter menu
3. Query in Search `itemSchemaName:service`

## Adding Services

Services are added in **Operations → Resources** by setting the [Resource Type](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/operations/resources/..#resource-type) to *Service Provider* when adding a [new Resource](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/operations/resources/..#adding-resources).&#x20;

### Resource Particulars

The Resource Particulars section defines general settings for the Equipment.

It contains many shared fields but also has different settings to other types including the **Title**, general **Category** & **Sub-Categories**, **Details** and **Attachments**.&#x20;

### Service Particulars

The following sections explain how to use the Service-specific settings. These are generally similar to other types of resources (particularly [Equipment](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/operations/resources/equipment) and [Consumables](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/operations/resources/consumable)) in that you set a Unit Name, Unit Rate, Unit Prefix and Unit Suffix.&#x20;

Some examples for Services include:

* 'Hours' for services that are billed for example by the hour (the unit suffix in this case would also be hours etc)
* 'Days' for services that are billed for example by the day (the unit suffix in this case would also be days etc)
* etc

### Location

A Location section is shown but not currently available for use with Services.
