# Asset Infrastructure General Import

## Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

You can add and update [Infrastructure](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/recovery/infrastructure) (such as bridges, culverts, car parks, footpaths, facilities, reserves, storm water pipes and storm water pits) in bulk using the Asset Infrastructure General Import option.

Infrastructure data be exported from your organisation's existing systems (such as a your Geographical Information System). When exporting and importing to avoid the import failing, make sure to plan the correct field mappings.

## Import File <a href="#instructions" id="instructions"></a>

A CSV file is preferred for this import with the correct field mappings.

Refer to the Import Field Mappings section in the [Import Instructions](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports/..#import-instructions) section for the latest import file requirements.

## Import Process <a href="#instructions" id="instructions"></a>

To import Infrastructure:

1. Refer to the general instructions in [Imports](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports).
2. In the General section select **Type**: *Assets*
3. For **Parsing Rule:** select *Asset Infrastructure General Import*
4. Under **Import File:** use the **Add file** button to upload your import file
5. Save and Check Results
