# Fire Prevention Notice Import

You can add/or update Fire Prevention Notices in bulk using the Fire Prevention Notice Import option.

### Considerations <a href="#instructions" id="instructions"></a>

* **Asset Code** - it is essential that the Asset code matches the property number.
* **Status** - Fire Prevention Notices imported will default to Draft Inspection. To change this, set the Status field. For properties which require an inspection, set them to 1st Inspection Required, for properties that already have known hazards, set he status to .
* **Assignment** - if you are assigning notices during the import, make sure that the officer exists in the system

## Import File <a href="#instructions" id="instructions"></a>

A CSV format file is required with the correct field mappings.

Refer to the Import Field Mappings section in the [Import Instructions](/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports.md#import-instructions) section for the latest import file requirements.

## Import Steps

To import the file:

1. Refer to the general instructions in [Imports](/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports.md).
2. In the General section select **Type**: *Register Items*
3. For **Parsing Rule:** select *Fire Prevention Notice Import*
4. Under **Import File:** use the **Add file** button
5. Save and Check Results
