# Library Item > Geospatial

## Overview

You can add/or update Library [Geospatial Feature](broken://pages/d776FxR0tnyTxbLSJAIw)s in bulk using the Library Item (Geospatial) Import options.

There are several variations of this report, the difference being that when the following imports are specified the Category and Map Icon are set by default to the desired type.

* Council Facility
* Critical Infrastructure
* General
* Relief Centre
* Staging Area
* Vulnerable Facility

If using a mix of Categories, use the All Categories import.

Refer to the register page for general instructions:

{% endcontent-ref %}

### Considerations

When importing consider the following:

* **Name** - is required for all geospatial items
* **ID** - use this to update an existing item.
* **Assigned** - if assigning to a specific officer.
* **Event ID** - to assign the geospatial item to a specific event.

A CSV format file is required with the correct field mappings.

Refer to the Import Field Mappings section in the [Import Instructions](/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports.md#import-instructions) section for the latest import file requirements.

## Import Steps

To import the file:

1. Refer to the general instructions in [Imports](/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports.md).
2. In the General section select **Type**: *Register Items*
3. For **Parsing Rule:** select *Library Item > Geospatial* (select a specific parser if you are importing items for the same category otherwise select *Library Item > Geospatial > All Categories*)

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/system-administration/configuring-the-system/imports/register-items/library-item-geospatial.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
