# Recovery Task Import

### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

You can add/or update [Needs & Tasks](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/recovery/needs-and-tasks) and  in bulk using the Recovery Task Import option. This is intended for use with tasks related to [Case](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/modules/recovery/cases)s only.&#x20;

#### Considerations <a href="#considerations" id="considerations"></a>

When importing consider the following:

* **ID** - is used to match to existing tasks if updating
* **Status** - must be numeric
* **Case ID** - if linking to an existing Case&#x20;

### Import File <a href="#instructions" id="instructions"></a>

A CSV format file is required with the correct field mappings.

### Import Steps <a href="#import-steps" id="import-steps"></a>

To import the file:

1. Refer to the general instructions in [Imports](https://app.gitbook.com/o/XTVHxRDLJsgVRj4dNFUc/s/Ny7IznbrPLUq6GJDDQDk/system-administration/system-administration/imports).
2. In the General section select **Type**: *Register Items*
3. For **Parsing Rule:** select *Recovery Task*
4. Under **Import File:** use the **Add file** button
