Log Entry

This page explains how to use the Log Entry type.

Overview

Logs

Log Entries are a Type of Log you can use to record textual information typically associated with a person's account of a situation. It functions like a digital version of a log book or diary.

For example if you need to record situations such as:

  • Leaving Operations to attend meeting

  • Spoke to someone about needing more desks in the room

  • Distributed situation report to staff

Note that Log Entries are intended to be shared with the whole team and while they can be edited, the original log is retained in the audit trail.

For general instructions on managing Logs refer to Logs.

Log Entry is the default Type for Logs. There is no need to change this setting in the Log to use it.
