# Recovery

## Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

The Recovery Module contains registers for the Recovery phase of the emergency.

Recovery is used to capture impacts, needs and services and begin recovery at the point of inception for people, property, agriculture, infrastructure and costs.

The recovery module contains a series of registers to capture impact details of people, property and infrastructure, and to then manage the recovery via tasks and financial tracking.

The main record of the recovery module is the Recovery Case, which encapsulates all the other records into a single, managed record. Although it appears complex, there are very few required fields within this form, meaning users can simply collect the information they know, and leave the rest unfilled.

### Positions <a href="#positions" id="positions"></a>

The following table outlines Recovery [positions](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/system-administration/configuring-the-system/positions) and what users with them can do according to their default security policies:

<table><thead><tr><th width="211.03125">Position</th><th width="484.46484375">Description</th><th data-hidden></th><th data-hidden>Other modules</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Relief &#x26; Recovery Officer</td><td><p>This position supports the recovery process.</p><p>Users on duty with this position should be able to view and add recovery items and update items assigned to them.</p></td><td></td><td><p>Add Operations items</p><p>Update Operations items assigned to them.<br>Access the Library.</p></td></tr><tr><td>Relief &#x26; Recovery Coordinator</td><td><p>This position provides overall recovery coordination.</p><p>Users on duty with this position can add and update events and recovery items. They can update Recovery costs and resources. They can assign, close and move items. They can also view reports.</p></td><td></td><td>Access the</td></tr><tr><td>Relief &#x26; Recovery Data Entry</td><td><p>This position provides data entry support.</p><p>Users on duty with this position can view and update items assigned to them.</p></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

Other positions may have similar security policies. A [System Administrato](https://docs.cw.crisisworks.com/system-administration/configuring-the-system/positions)r can establish positions with custom security policies.

## Registers <a href="#registers" id="registers"></a>

Access to each of the listed registers is based on your system's configuration and license.
