Accessing the system

This page describes how to access the system on your preferred device.

Supported Devices

Most Internet and web enabled devices are supported including:

  • Desktop computers

  • Laptops (notebooks) and netbooks

  • Tablets

  • Smartphones

Signing In

The system supports both manual sign in (using username and password) and Single Sign On via the web or mobile app.

Signing in on the Web App

Your Site URL enables you to access your organisation's system and all the Sites you are authorised to use.

Typically you'll use the single URL below for access (note: this may differ for your organisation).

  1. Open the web browser and go to your Site URL

  2. Click the Sign In button

    1. If Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled, you will be redirected to the SSO screen.

    2. Otherwise, enter the email address registered to your account.

Troubleshooting Sign-In issues

If you receive a 'Failed to sign in' message, check the following:

  • Incorrect Site URL - ensure you are using the correct URL

  • Incorrect Username - your username should be your primary email address. Double check the spelling.

  • Incorrect Password - if you have forgotten your password, try recovering your password.

Recovering your password

If you have lost or forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset:

  1. Click the Reset Password link underneath the Sign In heading.

  2. Enter your email address and click Send Code.

  3. Without closing your browser, check your email for a reset code.

  4. Set a new password (you'll need to enter it again to confirm).

    Passwords must include:

    • At least 8 characters

    • Upper and lower case letters

    • At least one special character (@*!&#$%^<>._-[]{}()=~+?,;:"'/|)

    • At least one number

  5. Enter your Reset Code and click Submit

  6. Once your password has been updated successfully you will see a confirmation message. Click Back to Sign In and login with your email and new password.

Important notes

  • The email sent by the system contains a reset code, not a password.

  • If you don't receive an email, you may not have an account on the system that uses that email address.

Signing In with Multi Factor Authentication

If you have enabled Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) (recommended) additional authentication steps are required before signing in.

Authentication Code (via Authenticator App)

If your MFA method is Authentication Code, you'll see a prompt to enter a one-time authentication code. This will depend on the Authentication method you're using, for example Google Authenticator.

  • Using your Authenticator app, find the code for Crisisworks

  • Enter or paste the code into the field on screen

  • Click Confirm

SMS Authentication

If your MFA method is SMS you'll get a screen notifying you that a code has been sent to your phone and get a prompt to enter a one-time code.

  1. Check your phone for an SMS from Crisisworks

  2. Enter or paste the code from the SMS into the field on this screen

  3. Click Confirm

Signing In with Single Sign On (SSO)

Please refer to the Single Sign On instructions from your organisation for account onboarding.

  1. After clicking Sign In, a second page will appear prompting you to sign in with your corporate ID.

  2. Follow your organisations authentication process to complete the login.
